Discussion:https://www.boardgamegeek.com/article/23498006#23498006

UPDATE: I do have this trade open in abecorn and can be found here: http://trade.abecorn.com/#/trade/57bbaaacd6548d003a3f6301. I am sorry for the confusion as I was wanting to make this be a completely manual trade on my end but did not think about how time consuming it would be to those that were wanting to do multiple entries. I do apologize for the inconvenience and hope this trade created in abecorn will be sufficient for everyone to use.

Important Dates & Deadlines (All times are Eastern)

Open for posting games: Now
Deadline for posting games: Friday, September 2, 2016, 5:00 PM
Deadline for want list submissions: Thursday, September 8, 2016, 5:00 PM
Results will be posted Friday, September 9, before 9:00 PM

%Options%
Deadline-Offers: Friday, September 2, 2016, 5:00 PM
Deadline-Wants: Thursday, September 8, 2016, 5:00 PM
%End%

The actual trade will occur at WashingCon in Washington, DC on Saturday, September 10th, 2016. We will gather at 3 PM to exchange all games. There will be announcements made as to the location of the trade. We hope to take 10-15 minutes at the most to exchange games.

Software Used: TradeMaximizer 1.4 with duplicate protection (you must submit the same user id for this protection). Options: TRIANGLE-PRIORITIES; ITERATIONS=200 (If larger iterations makes a considerable difference in the results the larger iteration will be used.)

You should post it in this thread, not the forum body
https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/218951/math-trade-announcem...

You should also consider using software to help you compile the lists and not do it by hand. Abecorn is an easy to use alternative.

Sorry for all the confusion, I have updated my original thread to include abecorn. I hope this will be sufficient enough to replace OLWLG for everyone.

I thought OLWLG was confusing, but abecorn is even worse.. It took me awhile to sort of figure it out.. but I think I've successfully uploaded 4 games via Abecorn. isn't it supposed to auto-populate the Geeklist? Or do I have to do that manually too?

The abecorn interface is NOT very intuitive.. they need to use buttons rather than text hyperlinks, because you can't see where you're supposed to click. So, I had a really hard time figuring out how to list the games..

You don't have to populate the geeklist, the 4 games you posted are part of the list to be run.

I agree the tabs for the different steps browse/add/make trades could 'pop' a bit more to be obvious. We're working on an interactive tutorial to make proceeding the first time more obvious. The initial setup of getting your games and account imported can seem daunting. Did you watch/read any documentation or did you just muddle through it?

If you haven't read anything, here's a one page quick start link.

I started watching the video, then got sidetracked and started "muddling" through it. I'm hard-headed that way.. I'll take a look at the wiki, thanks!!

Its also confusing over what trade you're actually taking part it.. and I'm not sure, but at one point it seemed like I imported a different catalog of games.. but it might just be that I was inadvertently looking at the list of games for a different Math Trade.

Now that you've visited the Washingcon trade page, whenever you visit the main page they'll be a gray bar that says "WashingCon 2 No-Ship) near the top that goes directly to the Washincon Trade.

Is there a way to see the stats on how many people want specific games similar to what is available when using the OLWLG?

I like the abecorn interface much better than OLWLG, once you get it setup is much easier and more intuitive, but I miss being able to look at the other stats.

We pull all the BGG stats, but aren't currently displaying them.

We do show at the end of the trade who wanted what items (both traded and untraded items).

We plan on having a robust stat tracker once we finish documenting our API.

So digging around in the abecorn wiki, I'm not seeing an answer to the following:

How do we find out whether this trade is using a time lock or it's just running until the end? (I see items added after the publicized submission end time). Second, how do we say "ok, this is what I want, now commit that and confirm it with me" (aka; submit wants)?

The host has the option to "lock trade" which locks it out to new submissions. I messaged the host about extending the listed date until Tueday as new items keep trickling in.

There isn't a submit wants button. What you click is live until the trade results are run.

If you need a different way to verify your matrix. Under the 'make trades' tab, if you click 'Print matrix' (left hand side) you can see the matrix in a text only form.

Unfortunately I was unable to find this "lock trade" button when creating this trade but I am deleting games that are posted after the submission. I do believe this would create an unfair math trade and will continue to delete such posts.

Is there any chance you can accept a late addition? I can add a few popular games in great condition (Tokaido, Rivals for Catan, Smash Up) and would love to participate if you can fit me in!

If you click "print results", right above the search box you can see several different text only details of the trade.

Also the results automatically get posted in text only on bgg.
