I am looking for medium weight games for 4-5 players that have a strong solo variant. Would prefer games that are no longer than around 1.5 hours. I greatly prefer multiplayer games but can't always get a group together. Roll for the Galaxy is awesome for this, and think Imperial Settlers would also fit the bill. Also RaceFTG. Any other recommendations?

EDIT: Would prefer games that are not co-op or miniatures.

I have seen Snowdonia called out for this (medium weight multi-player that is also very good solo). I've never played it but thought I'd pass it along and subscribe to see what others say.

Going on what you are asking for I would suggest Defenders of the Realm and Darkest Night (First edition) both fun solo or co-op

Thanks for the response! I should have been more clear. I prefer games that are not co-op or miniatures.

There are several single player guilds here that cover this topic monthly.

Would Nations work? 1-5 player 7.8 average rating and 3.5 weight. Suppose to have a good solo mode as well.

Adding some others from research I have found can support solo, although I have not played any of these and I'd be interested to know if the solo play is compelling.

Suburbia
Le Havre
La Granja
Tiny Epic Galaxies
Castles of Burgundy, The Card Game
Glass Road
Ora et Labora
Agricola and Caverna (could be a little long)

I'll also mention that Baseball Highlights 2045 has a solo variant that is fun and can technically play up to four in tourney mode.
