Pretty good price, although I haven't actually played the game. It's also on sale at CSI for $12.99.

I loved this game as a kid and this is a very nice upgraded new edition. But make no mistake, this game is an old design. But if you like going room-to-room fighting random monsters behind every door, this game is quite fun.

+1: I agree with Todd. I loved this way back when. Even for the low price, I'm not sure it's worth it for the walk down memory lane. I would advise looking into the game before spending the 12 bucks.

In 1978, this was the SHIZZ. Now, there are probably better options.

Oh, ye of little faith! It's $12 for a light, dungeon-themed romp that is kid-friendly. Call it a gateway game to the heavier fare. Get it and enjoy!

Recently picked this up, and it's not super great, but has been fun with my 5-year-old. Having to spend every turn trying to roll 10 or better to get half your treasure back from a monster isn't exactly the most fun.

somewhat tempted to get this just for the nostalgia-bomb that was triggered by a brief cameo in Stranger Things.

Seems to be out of print though. Nowhere else has it in stock for anything close to that. Even without free shipping you're still getting it a bit under MSRP so if you think you'll ever want it it might be a good idea to grab it.

Don't think it is out of print . . . available at a few places:

A nice game to introduce kids to D&D/Dungeoncrawler genre style games, most of which are far too heavy for the younsters. I might pick it up for the 7 year old.

Pete (wouldn't recommend it for adults)

Exactly. I don't know why so many are commenting about this game as if it was ever really intended for adults or that one would buy it as part of a collection for adults. It's not "dated." It's a game for kids and one I'd argue has stood the test of time as something gamers can play with their kids.
