From the TMG Orleans kickstarter.

Quote:
Mr Reiner Stockhousen is working on a second expansion that hopefully will release next year. I don't have any details on this. Both DLP and TMG will release this expansion fairly close together.

Hopefully closer together than Invasion is turning out to be.

That's why I bought the DLP version of Invasion a few months ago. I was trying to hold out for TMG, but TMG was taking way too long and I so needed it like a junkie needs a fix. Except my drug of choice is Orleans!

Knowing how long they took with Invasion, I don't trust TMG to "release this expansion fairly close together". TMG has great customer service and components but with too many games on their plate their distribution is hella slow.

Hella Oakland. And yep, we still don't have Invasion while it's year-old news to Europeans.

I'm sure this was discussed in other threads, but did there turn out to be component differences between the DLP and TMG versions of Invasion? Or do we still not know for sure? I remember speculation about differences in tile/token thickness, for example.

Does someone actually have a TMG version yet? Street date's not until the end of the month. Yes, over a year after Europe had theirs from DLP.

They just replied in their forum section that their current best estimate is Q1 2017

I would be SHOCKED if we got this Q1. Pleasantly shocked, but shocked nonetheless.

Finally got Invasion after waiting months and having my pre-order pushed back twice.

Yeah, overall pretty dismayed over the support for "Orleans" from TMG, over a year now for Invasion, and as far as I know no plans on making all the dlp promo buildings available (very expensive to import). Suffice to say I'm not holding my breath for a Q1 release for this either!

Do you mean the New Buildings 1-4 (Neue Ortskarten N°1-4)? I was thrilled to pick up all 4 sets at BGG CON last week! Maybe they will put them in the BGG store?

Oh wow didn't know they had them printed, will definitely pick up if they have them on the Geek Store at some point.

Couldn't wait - grabbed the DLP. While Invasion has a few nice features, it is by no means a must have. Trade & Intrigue on the other hand, is absolutely ESSENTIAL for Orleans fans. It just makes an already amazing game even better.

It should be. My base game plus both expansions are the DLP editions, but I've seen the TMG deluxe edition, and I don't think there's anything that would make it incompatible with H&I.

H&I is just two new beneficial deeds boards, some cards, and three new buildings.

Agreed. Orleans is finally feeling a bit repetitive, would love to liven it up since it's one my favorite Eurogames. Can't believe it takes this long.

It's the new Beneficial Deeds board I'm most excited about. Not the "intrigue" one - that looks awful - but the other one looks so much more interesting that the base game's, and I like the way it scales down to 2 players unlike the base game deeds.

I would just pick up the dlp games version. Even without the Intrigue Board (havent used it yet) it might possibly be one of the best value-added expansions i have ever purchased. I wasn't all that impressed with Invasion, but Trade & Intrigue is awesome and makes the original game really shine. I cant see there being much difference, unless TMG packages it with all the Neue Ortskarten (New Place) tiles no. 1-4. Still available over here at a lot of online stores reasonably priced.

Ps. If you dont already know the mini-expansions Neue Ortskarten (New Place) tiles no. 1-4 are all available at the BGG store. They add some real variety to the Place Tiles.

I would second all of this.
