Here is one obvious error in the 2016 edition of Ra. I checked this against an older version of the rules I downloaded off the geek -

Page 7, End of Each Epoch section, Pharaohs second bullet, second sentence reads: If two or more players tie for highest, each tied player loses 2 points.

It should read: If two or more players tie for least, each tied player loses 2 points.

Bother. I read those rules multiple times, many other people likewise. Just goes to show.

Hopefully it should be obvious, but still annoying. (And that's without a stake in the game.)

Ohhh dear... You know some rules lawyer is going to go full ballistic with that incorrect passage to say he won because the 2 players with the highest Pharaoh counts need to lose 2pts instead of getting +5.... it's in the rules

There are several sorts of rules lawyers. (See my microbadges.) Including:

- Ones who work hard to get a polished set of rules, whether the original ruleset, errata, or FAQ lists.

- People just playing oneupmanship.

- Ones who really try to find cases that the rules don't cover. Even when it would take all the players cooperating over an astronomical number of games to see it.

- Ones who stretch rules to breaking point to gain an advantage. Bonus points if they stretch the same rule differently in their next game.

- People just taking the Mickey.

The hypothetical rules lawyer in the last example is in the last of these. The OP I believe is in the first.
