I am super excited and can not wait to learn exactly what all of them are so I can begin updating my player aids.
I hope there are several that have things in common with existing locations that are more unique and easier to guess.
There are several locations that have very little in common with others and are easy to distinguish if the right questions come up and my spys figure them out very quickly. I hope the new ones help this. Like a thrift store or farmers market that can make the supermarket harder to guess.
Your standard player aides fit on the back of the instruction manual or on an index card sized card or piece of cardboard.
The issue with Spyfall, is that they have a couple ways to tackle it, all with their drawbacks.
Let's say they want to make a big matt sized aide that is large enough for 8 people to read sitting around the table. An aid of that size would be large and have to fold up taking up the allready cramped box space and would no doubt raise the price or cause the box to be bigger. Not to mention a folding piece of paper can be annoying. They rarely lay flat.
So maybe they can do smaller individual aides for each player to look at. Visually they would have to eliminate the pictures and I think that is not something they want to do. They probably want pictures.
So if they decide to make 8 player aides that simply list all 30 locations, they could do it, and it would probably only slightly raise the cost, deending on the size of the cards of course. So price and space both come into play.
So ultimately it may be a matter of trying to keep costs down as low as possible.
Either way, this completely derails the intent of this thread. There is allready a thread devoted to this very topic, so I don't feel it needs to be discussed here as well.
So to stear it back on track...
I hope for at least one more religious location to go along with the crusader army.
