I hope that this will not be adversely-received. I seldom interrupt this forum, but would like to reach out to you guys with something that I believe you will be interested in.

In case you don’t know, venerable wargame designer Frank Chadwick is preparing another magnum opus with a new monster-size game series: FRANK CHADWICK’S ETO. The first of its four major games is THUNDER IN THE EAST (TITE), covering the entire Russian Front at the Corps level based on a very modern, clean, and robust set of systems tracing their origins back to Frank’s classic introductory wargame, BATTLE FOR MOSCOW. The grognard complexity level is medium-low, and the turns move smartly thanks to the low unit density and quick, clean systems.

Alpha Playtest Report:

Frank Chadwick Interview:

Now, as it happens, we are currently seeking wargame CLUBS/GROUPS with 4 or more regular players who are interesting in leaving this essentially “3 map” (approximately 44” x 51”) game set up between sessions and put its 8 to 12 (weekly) turn scenarios through their playtesting paces. TITE plays well even with two players, with each commanding both sides dividing the commands north and south and then playing against your opponent’s command when playing the other side (its wargame mechanics are that friendly and comfortable).

We can also facilitate solo wargamers who can use the VASSAL system for playtesting.

Leaving you in peace,
