I don't remember seeing this a year ago; apologies if it's a repost.

I would watch the HELL out of this movie:

Sounds like the "Five(ish) Doctors Reboot" special that Peter Davison did with Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy.

Which was hilarious.

Sooooo many reasons to avoid a movie like the plague have not been assembled in a single package since Adam Sandlar, Nicholas Cage, Slater and Barbara Streisand starred in.... Oh wait. No. There has never been a movie with so many reasons to avoid it.

Here's what I think of this idea:

Moore is somewhere around 87.
Connery is 85.
Timothy Dalton is 70.
George friggin' Lazenby is God knows how old.
Pierce Brosnan is in his 60s.
And, because I just looked him up, Daniel Craig is the younger one of the bunch at 48, but he's not doing them anymore.

With all of the stunt casting going on, I am surprised James Bond is not a female Muslim by now.

Given their ages, they would probably do better in a movie similar to "Going in Style", about old guys who are forgotten about, and decide to rob a bank just for the hell of it. A good movie, starring three titans in film (George Burns, Art Carney, and Lee Strasberg). Putting them in an action film now would be a disaster, use their ages to your benefit, it doesn't have to be a Bond film, maybe just a spoof of spy films, I suspect these guys would do better in the comedy genre now, than the action one.

They could Ghostbuster it by casting a woman in the lead.

Hell, I got a stiffie just reading the story. That would be awesome -- even if Connery is in a wheelchair and makes no sense.

They already sort of did this in the original Casino Royale from 1967. That movie had multiple Bonds, including David Niven (age 57 at the time) as the "original" Bond who comes out of retirement to thwart a plot by SMERSH. It's a comedy.
