Pretty sure you can. I think you can even play solo. Just remove the traitor aspect. Which for some (like me) this would make the game not nearly as good. The fear of the traitor is the best part!

Yes, there's a two-player variant, the rules of which are described in the rule book.

I think it's pretty much the same as 3 players plus, with the following changes:

Starting hand of 3 characters instead of 2.

No betrayer or secret objectives.

Always play the easier version of the main objective.

My husband and I prefer the variant posted by the game's designer here:

Help test some 2 player variants I have been toying with

Both players get a regular objective and a betrayal objective, it can be quite tense!
