You should be using the BGG Marketplace and paying commisions (3%) to BGG on sales...

It seems this guy isn't related to the store, so I cannot understand why you feel he needs a "calling out" when I don't recall you posting to any other of the "Hot Deals" for other online venders (say, like Boulder Games).

I'm not related to the store in any way. I've never even ordered anything from them. I just got an email with some details about a sale forwarded via the BGG user lokides, who runs a gaming group I've been going to. I thought it would be cool to post it to the deals and because I was looking up the games' ratings to decide if I wanted any of the higher-rating ones that other BGG members would also benefit from a list sorted by score.

This sort of hot deal posting, notifying people of a sale at a store you are not affiliated with in any way, is completely acceptible.

If it makes anyone feel better, Unhalfbricking also sells through the BGG marketplace:

Thanks for the heads up mate. Might have to pick up caylus and industria at those prices. Although with the Aussie dollar improving against the USD, it might be prudent to check overseas first.

Thanks again though.

No problemo. I should have added somewhere in the original post that I wasn't affiliated with the store.

Or Myer. The GIPF Project games are $40-something ($44.95?) in the Perth city Myer store.

It'd be difficult to find Industria new for AU$25 overseas (inc postage). ConVic is on again this weekend in Melbourne, run by Julian at Unhalfbricking.com - I am unsure if he's offering the discounts at the convention, but if he is it may be worth turning up and saving on postage. I usually get a game from him as he charges minimal entry to the convention. Caylus or Industria would be decent choices. Amun-Ra is also a great game at a very decent price.

Yea, my bad too.

Just another reason spammers need to be hung by their thumbs over alligator pits*, IMNSHO. Not only do they destroy the signal/noise ratio, they poison the well for legitimate business.

*yes, I'm feeling particularly benevolent today!
