White nationalist media figures trashed Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s speech highlighting Republican nominee Donald Trump’s connections to the racist “alt-right” movement. The racist figures said that the speech will “backfire tremendously” and that it showed Clinton is a “candidate for White dispossession.” They also reaffirmed their support for Trump, who they said represents an “implicit white revolt.”

Hate Group Leader Richard Spencer: Clinton Is “A Candidate For White Dispossession.” Richard Spencer heads the National Policy Institute, a white nationalist “think tank,” and has received credit for founding the “alt-right.” The Associated Press reported that Spencer “matter-of-factly called for removing African-Americans, Hispanics and Jews from the United States” while attending the Republican National Convention. Spencer tweeted of the speech:

Shorter Hillary: I will be a candidate for White dispossession.

That's right, we should embrace turning the world into a crater.

Quote:

Radio Host David Duke: Clinton’s Speech Will “Backfire Tremendously.” Radio host David Duke is a former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard and one of the most infamous leaders of the white nationalist movement. Duke reacted to news of Clinton’s speech by comparing her to a “pedophile condemning children. It’s not going to make people condemn children by her speech. It’s only going to make people more support the alt-right because of this criminal individual who’ll mean the death for, truly, the America and the American people.” He also claimed that Clinton’s speech will “backfire tremendously” because the alt-right’s ideas are already spreading across the country. [Rense Radio Network, David Duke Show, 8/25/16]

Anti-Semitic Writer Kevin MacDonald Reaffirms Support: Trump Win Would Be “A Huge Thing For Us” Because It’s An “Implicit White Revolt.” SPLC described Kevin MacDonald as “the neo-Nazi movement's favorite academic,” who “published a trilogy that supposedly ‘proves’ that Jews are genetically driven to destroy Western societies.” MacDonald reacted to news of Clinton’s speech by stating it wouldn’t hurt the alt-right movement because white nationalism is “routine now.” He added that “if Trump wins, it’s going to be a huge thing for us because we are the only people that have supported him with any kind of ideological basis.” He and Duke further said that Trump represents an “implicit white revolt.” [Southern Poverty Law Center, accessed 8/25/16; Rense Radio Network, David Duke Show, 8/25/16]

Neo-Nazi Website Daily Stormer: “Despite What The Kike Media Is Claiming, This Is” A “Victory.” The Daily Stormer is a virulently anti-Semitic website that celebrates Nazism and purports to document the “Jewish Problem” and “kikes.” Editor Andrew Anglin responded to news of Clinton’s speech by attacking “the kike media” for criticizing the “alt-right” and saying Clinton’s speech represented a “victory” for the movement. [Southern Poverty Law Center, 3/10/15; The Daily Stormer, 8/25/16]

White Nationalist Website American Renaissance: Trump Is Paving The Way For “An American Renaissance In Which The Truth About Race Is No Longer A Taboo.” American Renaissance is a white nationalist website headed by Jared Taylor that features “proponents of eugenics and blatant anti-black racists,” according to SPLC. Writer Chris Roberts reacted to the speech by claiming Clinton is “afraid of us” and that Trump “will slow our decline and perhaps even pave the way to an American Renaissance in which the truth about race is no longer a taboo”:

Those are quotes from the alt right (including the inventor of the title) so they are more of how the alt-right sees itself than how liberals see them.

I see them as disgusting, repugnant, hate mongering racists who celebrate genocide and are a danger to the country.

I don't speak for all liberals. Some are probably soft-headed enough to want to give the bigots and racists understanding treatment.

In any case, these are quotes of their own words, said today.

Ironcates, what are your feelings on these racists and bigots and what they said?

You've also fallen into the trap, Mac. Attacking Trump as racist is a losing strategy. Don't attack him for what he might think and what you can never really know. Attack him for how his policies will affect the people involved and the country at large.

Attack his immigration policy because it will cause serious disruptions in the economy, because its enforcement costs will be as large as the costs of illegal immigration, because America solves humanitarian crises rather than creates them, because America is the place people go to have a better life, and because almost everyone here is part of a family that came from somewhere else.

Attack his Muslim policy because it surrenders to fear, because it will increase the divide between America and peaceful Muslims, because it will anger governments with which we have friendly and ongoing relations, because it will alienate American Muslims and lead some of them into supporting terrorism, and because attacking a religious faith goes against everything this country stands for.

Attack his xenophobia and America First nationalism because it will lead to trade wars, because it will unhinge the economy, because it will raise the prices Americans pay for everyday items, because it will lead to layoffs in export industries and retail and the shipping and transportation sectors, and because it might very well lead to a market collapse and massive unemployment.

This sounds a whole lot better than "Trump is racist!" "Yeah, well, so's Hillary!" That argument persuades no one and accomplishes nothing because the unthinking have already chosen their hero, whether it be Trump or Clinton.

William Saletan had an interesting point on Slate, arguing that Hillary's attack on the 'alt-Right' gives mainstream Conservatives an 'out'.

Quote:
A few minutes later, speaking about Trump’s criticism of a Mexican American judge, Clinton brought up Ryan. “Even the Republican speaker of the House of Representatives, Paul Ryan, described that, and I quote, as ‘the textbook definition of a racist comment,’ ” she noted. Clinton could have added that Ryan, after making that statement, continued to support Trump. She didn’t. She let the speaker off the hook.

Saletan's argument is that while she's out to kill Trump's candidacy dead, full stop, she's throwing a lifeline to the mainstream GOP. The end, perhaps, is some form of triangulation politics when she becomes President; what we're seeing here is the attempt to create a basis of a possible working relationship with Ryan and others in the GOP.

IF this is true- and it would fit the classic Clinton political methodology- I don't see it working. Sure, the GOP leadership might be a bit grateful if (when?) Clinton slays the Trump monster. Behind closed doors. But they'll never, never, EVER admit that in public. Absolutely no way.

But Hillary has to know this, but still feels the need to offer at least the possibility of a detente (which doesn't mean appeasement, but rather, engagement) with the GOP. Be interesting to see.

Between this and Trump's waffling on his own immigration agenda, Clinton's own problems with the Clinton Foundation are being moved to page 6 or even further into the paper. Which is a shame, given that there are some real issues here that need to be addressed- namely, putting Chelsea in charge of the Foundation. Not only does that not pass the 'smell test', I also don't think it answers the key accusation made against the Foundation- that those who donate to the Foundation get a level of access that others do not.

Fun fun!

I'm totally shocked and amazed Clinton would use Trump's support by the alt-right / far-right for her own political advantage. Who ever would have guessed she'd seek to shore up her advantage with minority voters by pointing that out. Surely she's the greatest political genius of the 21st century.

But Pwn3d / Bolus / Whateverthefucktoday is our resident alt-right disciple and I'm sure he'll be along presently to tell us how it's really all the fault of that nasty Anita Sarkeesian / muslims.

And that is why she deserves, and is best suited for, the role of lead Politician.

To be fair, in most respects they share the same faults.

One major difference is that Donny tried to run on a platform of "look at me I am different", when he fact he is practically a clone.

The idiots who support him are making a protest vote by voting for even more of the same. "We don't like Washington shit, so we will lap up Washingtons paymasters shit instead".

He's doing a "I know you are but what am I defense".

Trump wrote:
Hillary Clinton is a bigot who sees people of color only as votes, not as human beings worthy of a better future. She doesn't care what her policies have done to your communities. She has no remorse. She's going to do nothing for Hispanics and African-Americans.

Then the next day:

Trump wrote:
It’s the oldest play in the Democratic playbook. When Democratic policies fail, they are left with only this one tired argument. You’re racist, you’re racist, you’re racist. It’s a tired, disgusting argument. And it’s so totally predictable.

This is a good set of takeaways from Hillary's red-meat speech to her hatey disciples:

Quote:
Hillary’s Deeply Hypocritical In Suddenly Singing The Praises of Conservative Figures. Hillary dropped this incredible litany in the middle of her speech:

Quote:
Twenty years ago, when Bob Dole accepted the Republican nomination, he pointed to the exits and told any racists in the Party to get out. The week after 9/11, George W. Bush went to a mosque and declared for everyone to hear that Muslims "love America just as much as I do." In 2008, John McCain told his own supporters they were wrong about the man he was trying to defeat. Senator McCain made sure they knew – Barack Obama is an American citizen and "a decent person." We need that kind of leadership again.

Hillary doesn’t get to say this. She and her husband destroyed Bob Dole as a human being. She routinely savaged George W. Bush. Her party ripped apart John McCain. And this year, Hillary declared Republicans her enemies. The only good Republicans are the ones in her memory.

And . . .

Quote:
Hillary’s Own Associations With Racism Are Disgusting. Hillary ripped Trump for being sued by the Justice Department for alleged racism in rental properties, for being fined by state regulators for allegedly “removing black dealers from the floor” of his casino, and for doubting Obama’s place of birth. This neglects the fact that Hillary’s own campaign was responsible for purveying the birther rumor in 2008. Hillary also associates with race-baiters like Al Sharpton, and panders to the racist Black Lives Matter movement, which has called for divestment from Israel (calling Israel an “apartheid state” in the process), and stokes racial divisions on the basis of criminals like Michael Brown being rightly shot. Hillary has thrown her own husband’s successful crime policies overboard to pander to BLM; meanwhile, BLM allies riot in Ferguson, Baltimore, and Milwaukee. Just because the media have mainstreamed BLM doesn’t mean they’re not a racial solidarity movement. And when Hillary attempts to say that there’s no history of a mainstream nominee ever stoking racism, someone ought to ask her about Democrats ranging from George Wallace to Woodrow Wilson. Someone ought to remind her of the 1924 Klanbake – the Democratic National Convention.

I've never heard of Richard Spencer or Jared Taylor. I suspect that those quotes are taken out of the context of the left wanting to force multi-culturism in every corner rather than free association, but I'm not out to defend people I've never heard of.

The alt-right is a diverse group which the only tie seems to be that they're anti-establishment. I posted last week a protest in West Hollywood by the alt-right that includes Gays for Trump, Latinas for Trump, Arab Christians for Trump, Blacks, and more. Milo Yinnopolous is openly gay and most of the titles Hilary quoted are from him in his sort of edgy style but she's twisting them to sound like he's serious.
