Just picked up All That Glitters and Crossroads. I was looking at the various rule for how to do set up, and then realized there's nothing on the cards to indicate what expansion they came from or to even distinguished from the base game. Once I shuffle these all together, how am I supposed to separate them again? Am I missing something?

I have the same cunumbdrum. I can only note whether the card references gold not. It would have been a tad more useful for editing the game deck to signify them

I'm half tempted to go through with a marker and mark them myself, but not sure if that would decrease their value

As soon as I find some time, I'll make a list with the locations in each set so that you can use it for reference.

Luckily hubby got there were not expansion markers before we shuffled all the cards into the base game. So here's a list of the card titles for each expansion. I left out the Gold Mines since they are obvious.

All That Glitters
Armory
Fountain
Goldsmith
Governor's House
Hospital
Library
Master Builder
Mercenaries
Monument
Palace
Prison
Warehouse

There are 3 cards of each color type in this expansion.

Crossroads
Bank
Conscription
Conservatory
Courthouse
Crafts Guild
Gardens
Garrison
Harbor
Lighthouse
Main Street
Military Academy
Palace Guard
Tavern
Trade Post
Treasury
University

There are 4 card of each color type in this expansion

It is a bit surprising that, as busy as the cards are, there wasn't something added in the corner frame or something.

As it is, though, if you remove the gold-based cards, everything that's left works just fine in the game. Personally, I don't see any reason to specifically separate out the expansions.

Thank you for this list I hate games without expansion symbols

The rules state that there are 4 copies of a card name/type but there are only 3 of each for Crossroads.

16 types by 3 copies gives the 48 locations that they have properly listed in the booklet just a paragraph down the page.

Edit: "3" was missing

There should be 3 copies of each card name. This applies to all cards both those included in the main game and those in expansions.

In which rulebook did you read that there are 4 copies of each card?

The Crossroads rulebook states 4 of each even though there are only 3 of each.

On the 3rd page of the Crossroads rulebook it says that it includes 4 new locations of each type. This refers to unique new locations, not to how many copies of each one there are.

In other words, there are 4 new Economic locations, 4 new Military locations etc. Each of those 4 locations, comes in 3 copies.

So you have 4 locations of each type (thus 16 new locations) in 3 copies each for a total of 48 cards.
