My nephew played Screaming Eagles with my brother and I and loved it. It was the first time he played a non-kiddie game and loved it so much that he borrowed it to play at home. What was one of your kids' or nieces & nephews' favorite first non-light game? My nephew is 7 years old.

"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo. "So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

When we go to our son's home we often play Shadows over Camelot: Merlin's Company. One of the boys was turning eight and for his 8th birthday party wanted to join the next game. Our daughter-in-law and his sister worked with him to understand the game. We did a 6 player game (yielding 1 traitor). He did rather well and wants a rematch.

My nieces love Rhino Hero, but I guess that could still be considered a kids game. They also enjoying Trekking because they love collecting the different colored stones.
