German solo, I'm at December 27th with 44 points. Tactical win is 45 points. So that sucks. So now I'm on Dec 28th- only 40 points needed for the win. Yes, auto win! Yeah, right. Now I have to make it through the day without losing any ground and some of my positions are looking pretty tenuous. So in this situation, what do you guys do? Do you make defensive moves and try to hold ground, hold on to those 43 points and call it a day or do you go for broke and make some more aggressive moves trying to get the best score you can, knowing that it could all fall apart if you get some bad chit draws (but that never happens, right?).

Almost always easier to defend - I would give the priority to protecting what I have.

Would totally depend on my chances to get that 1 point on the 27th.
