I've been eyeing this game for a while as an alternative to two other 2p games I enjoy (BattleLine and Battle for Hill 218).

Reading the rules, it seems very complex, but the reviews describe it as a rock-paper-scissors game essentially and a weight of 2.11/5 seem to be counter to how complex the rules seem.

Is it really as complicated as it looks? And is there more to the game than just outguessing the opponent?

I can suggest to try it. You will not be disappointed.
From a first look I had the same impressions about complexity, but after 2 plays I can say it is not so complex and it is not only about guessing.
Take a look at the result table and you will see there can be many different situations, not only rock-paper-scissors.
It gains more fun if played over many rounds and with the variants such as leader draft, and so on.
Last: the withdraw tactic card and the leader abilites add more fun to the this - in my opinion - quick and very well designed pnp game.
I apologize for my basic English.

Here are the main files I suggest to pnp:
