Well I have been into Go a good bit lately
(im still terribleyuk.)

I was wondering If anyone has/knows any good books
to help improve my play. preferably less expensive ones.

The only ones i have heard of are the ones by the person who
does the "Getting Go" series for the Hikaru no Go manga ( i love this manga and look forward to it every month!)

Thank you for your assisstance.

I would recommend the Learn to Play Go series.

Vol.1 - A Masters Guide to the Ultimate Game

Vol.2 - The Way of the Moving Horse

Vol.3 - The Dragon Style

Vol.4 - Battle Strategies

Vol.5 - The Palace of Memory

They can be purchased thru Amazon and other sources like bigwords.com and addall.com. They come in a complete set or can be picked up individually.

Hope that helps

Mark

Lessons in the Fundamentals of Go by Kageyama is a great strategy overview book, and is very entertainingly written.

Also, most of the Elementary Go series (In the Beginning, Life and Death, Attack and Defense, and Tesuji) are quite helpful.
