It seems a bit too bland that these two fantasy elements have so little theme. On the other hand their effect should not be overdone. So...

Dragon – If a player takes a province containing a Dragon then each player with one or more provinces adjacent loses a card randomly from their hand, as does the player who took the province. You cannot lose more than one card from one dragon. This card cannot be drawn back for until the end of your next turn (so in the case of the player who took the province he will draw back one less card at the end of the turn).

Runestone – if a player takes a province containing a Runestone then each other player with one or more provinces adjacent may draw a card, but not the player who took the province. You cannot draw more than one card from one runestone.

I agree that it seems a "waste" of theme the way Dragons and Runestones appear in Mythotopia. I have thought of using Dragons´ tokens as own army after being conquered (haven´t tried it yet, though).
