Back in the years 2002 to 2003, I had these trading cards that were fantasy/medieval themed. These were not mainstream cards like Magic the Gathering or YuGiOh. The only card I specifically remember was a black dog standing in the dark (maybe in a cemetary?) and looking back toward the camera. The name of the card maybe had words like "black, demon, hound, beast, werewolf" or something along those lines, maybe even the word "Hell". The dog was also drooling I think. I remember it had an attack of 7, which was the highest attack level card I had since these cards used a low number scale for attack and defense. These trading cards were maybe purchased at KB Toys or Toys R Us. The cards features knights, monsters, creatures, and cards that just had items on them such as swords and artifacts. I wanna say the back of the card was brown? (IM TELLING YOU THEYRE NOT MAGIC THE GATHERING I ASSURE YOU). I have searched all over the internet, including Reddit, and cannot figure out what they're called, but I know they're real because I had a decent sized deck of these cards. If anyone can figure out the name of the card series, I will PayPal you 20 bucks.

Warlord: Saga of the Storm would fit the time frame, and was just popular enough that you could have found the cards at mainstream stores, plus a creature with a power of 7 was pretty high up there. The color scheme fits too, at least for some of the cards.

Pete (doesn't recall the card in question but it could have been from this game)

Another good one but I don't think this is it either!

Oh, now I think I have it. There was a hellhound in the dark, looking out at the viewer, in Spellfire. Could that be it?

Check out this link scroll down and look at years 2001-2003 and see if anything rings a bell. This is a supposed list of all collectible card games by year

Yeah I have been looking through this, I couldn't find anything in the years of 2002 to 2003 so that leads me to believe it may have come out a little earlier.

Crud. This is hard.

Vampire had a hellhound looking over its shoulder, but not at the viewer.

Doomtown had a werewolf in the dark (if I recall correctly) and brown card backs, but wasn't fantasy.

I think I'm stumped.

Yeah it's been driving me nuts all day. I know it's real because I brought the card in for show and tell back in grade school, but I have no clue what it was called.

Kult was close but I don't think that's it. It's definitely not Rage.

You might try browsing through The Definitive CCG List.
If it exists as a CCG, it's on there.

The description of the wolf reminds me of grim fang from Rage. It was about werewolves and you could beef them up before moving in on your opponents alphas.
