When I was a child (80's) I had a game that was basically a naval tiddlywinks. I am really hoping that someone here can direct me to more information about it

(no bellybutton jokes, that's _el anyways, although it's a potentially good idea too)

I think the game came rolled up in a tube. consisted of a large blue vinyl/plastic mat that fit better on the floor than a table and had a gridded map of an ocean and some land on it, each player (red & yellow?) has a set of cheap cardboard ships ans some plastic chips. The chips were used tiddlywink-style to fire upon the other person's fleet. There might have been an unseen submarine mechanic too.

I have actually asked this question before, the best anyone could come up with was a generically named "Naval Battle" that has no BGG entry. I'm hoping that perhaps someone else might come up with a better lead this time.

for the record, the game I remember is not Torpedo Run!, Naval battle, nor Naval Battle Group.

thank you.
