The rules say "about 3 feet" apart for the start and the end, but it's not clear how many times you're supposed to make a stack of 5 roads before you win. Does anybody know how many?

You play 50 cards, so 10 stacks of 5 cards. See the "Ending the Game" section. There's a total of 58 trail cards which includes the Start and End trail cards.

Question re: stacking up trail cards...

The illustration in the rules only shows stacking of cards showing a trail, not Fort or Town cards.

But... Fort and Town cards are technically Trail Cards (from the back anyways), so what are your thoughts on whether you can include Forts/Towns in stacks?

If not, then you have to remember not to play a Fort or Town if the portion of the trail you are on is less than 5 cards long. But... the rules also state:

> 5. Players who have a Trail Card (including Forts or Towns) that connects to the trail must play it unless they are playing a Supply Card.

FWIW, there's 2 Fort and 2 Town cards.

Ah, I just watched the video from Pressman -- apparently Forts and Towns count as Trail Cards when stacking.
