Doesn't look like this has been asked yet.

It looks like there may be an issue with the Replace and Gamble immediate actions in extra innings.

In extra innings, the normal sequence of play is:
o Home and Visitor player place threatened hits
o Home Immediate Action
o Visitor Immediate Action
o Home and Visitor Player resolve threatened hits.

Now imagine a Visitor Immediate action which is Replace.
A new free agent card is brought in, but it is too late to place any threatened hits since we are past that step, so essentially the Replace action is useless in extra innings (from the point of view of helping to win the game).

The alternative way of handling it, is to allow the player to place the threatened hits which came from the replacement card, but that also has a problem. If it is the visiting team getting the replacement and the Home team played a card which cancels threatened hits, the home team's immediate action will be bypassed since the threats get placed after the Glove, Curve Ball, etc.

There is a similar situation with Gamble where the threatened hits can't get placed until after the Immediate action is performed.

What is the intent with these cards in extra innings? Useless, or do they have some special treatment.

Hi Peter

The intent is to have these cards be useless in extra innings. This will keep players from buying more than 1 of them. They are very volatile and swingy so I did not want that kind of thing in extra innings.
