Hi all, do you know any web sites concerning this Afghan conflict? I mean something like month-after-month reports how was/is the situation developing from beginning up to now? I know that the coalition point of view must be different compared to the Afghan one but still a "conflict diary" from one or the other side would enlighten me the whole thing.

I am sure there is a thread about it with some links but I´m unable to find it via forum search. Thanks in advance!

There are lots of "war on terrorism" sites with periodic Afghan items, not as much since the US has mostly withdrawn from the country.
Find one and start clicking on others, you'll have a collection soon enough.
The only viewpoint you will get is the Coalition's, or sometimes the Afghan government translates its online material into English.
Perhaps you can read Arabic or Pashto for the Taliban viewpoint.
In all cases I suspect it would be rather self-serving.

This link is to a dead blog but its link page has many other blogs.
It was well classified with many links to blogs by Afghans, NGOs etc. and many of them are probably dead but it gives you an idea of how many peopel were frequently writing about it at the time.

Long War Journal is very up-to-date and authoritative.

https://www.brookings.edu/afghanistan-index/ is a good index but not updated so frequently now.

Small Wars Journal is written by and for American professionals, tends to be a bit inward-looking but some very good material sometimes.

No problem.
I could go on and on about those but I'll let you discover these, and new ones, for yourself: I went down too many rabbit holes in doing research for A Distant Plain.
