December meeting of GASP
Looking for a quick and fun six player game to fill some time Matthew pulled out Fist of Dragonstones. Players were Matthew, Curt, Megan, Todd, Dave, and I forget her name but someone else.
Of course, the winner was the woman whose name I forget! This is definitely a screw-the-leader type game with so many mechanisms built in to keep the leader from winning that it's easy for others to catch up until eventually a situation arises where SOMEONE has to win.
In this case, Curt jumped out to an early 2 point lead (first to 3 wins!) and never saw another point for the rest of the game as a result. Everyone else eventually caught up to Curt except Matthew, who Dave inexplicably continued to kick while he was down despite the fact that he was the only one without a chance to win.
