Photos from World War I were finally developed after almost 100 years and are now on display in Leyland. The film was among the photographer's personal effects--he died on a reconnaissance mission in 1918--and were kept by relatives this entire length of time.

Same here. I had first seen the story on another site that did not provide captions, so I was scratching my head for a bit trying to figure out what aircraft that was until I found this other article.
