Has anyone come up with a single player variant of this game? I keep thinking that there could be a way to setup a cooperative dungeon crawl type of experience with the cards/components that this game offers.

A little crude, but I made up some rules when I played uno back then:

FRIEND-your characters
ENEMY-characters you're going against

Movement
Roll the dice for the enemy the second time.
Green-Main Character moves
Purple-Minor Character moves(your choice)

When enemy uses a 'move' card or makes a movement, they do the following depending on the situation:

1.Has last row on wound grid remaining-move as far from friends as possible
2.Can be adjacent/firing distance of friend after moving-move where it can be adj. to or can fire at friend.
3.Is within friend's blaster range(enemy has no blaster)-move to
where enemy cannot be targeted, if posible.
4.No other friend is in range-stay put['attack and move' cards only] or move as close as possible to nearest friend or firing range['move' cards or movement only]

Actions
If the enemy is not in range and has no 'move' cards, draw a card. If they can attack/defend, self explanatory. If they have a 'move' card and not in range, they use that immediately.

Attack
High attack takes top priority. Likewise, cards with high defense are used first. If an enemy has a 'move and attack' card and can get in range, they use that first.

Healing
If Minor enemy(-ies) is(are) destroyed, enemy can heal. Attacking takes top priority over healing.
Cards that heal are not used until character has at least that much damage(I.E.If Anni is still alive, Padme's Protection only heals when she has taken at least 4 damage).

Other special action cards are used immediately and situational unless enemy can attack.

Force Control-You choose where to put everyone.

Jedi Mind Trick-Discard pile(minus this card) is shuffled face down.The top card is then drawn and pile is face up afterwards with this card on top.

Anakin/Padme
Anger-Shuffle enemy's hand face down. Draw the top card and discard the rest. If he has Calm, every other card is discarded instead.

Counterattack-has highest defense priority.

Precise Shot-If there is at least one card in the hand after this card is used, roll the die:
Purple-effect is used
Green-effect is not used

Yoda
F. Lift-Use immediately when Yoda is adj. to friend. If enemy is affected by it, they immediately stand upright when they have three cards.

F. Push-Move friend as far from Yoda as possible.

F. Rebound/Serenity-Both have high defend priority. If both cards are in the hand, F. Rebound has higher priority.

Insight-turn your hand face down, then shuffle. The top card is then discarded.

Mace
Battlemind-Has high priority if enemy's hand is 6 or more cards, regardless of attacking or defending.

Luke/Leia
I Will Not Fight You-used when friend's hand has 5 or more cards.

Han/Chewbacca
Gambler's Luck-See Insight if this card deals damage.

It's Not Wise-used when Chewie can be in range of friend.

Wookie Instincts-can not be used if Bowcaster Attack is in hand or discard pile. If Han is to be healed or enemy hand exceeds 10, this card must be discarded first.

Confederacy/Imperial
Maul
Blinding Surge-used when he has no other attack/defend card.

Martial Defense-high priority.

(Super)Sith Speed-always used first. Super Sith Speed has higher priority.

Dooku*
F. Drain-see Insight.

Gain Power-use when Enemy's hand has 0-1 other card.

*Dooku also has Force Push

Jango/Zam
Fire Up The Jet Pack-used when not in range. Has high move priority.

Flame Thrower-hit friends move as far from Jango as possible.

Wrist Cable-takes high priority over attacking.

Vader
All Too Easy-has highest priority if friend has empty hand.

Dark Side Drain-used as an attack. takes highest priority when Vader has three or more damage.
Throw Debris-friend with least wounds takes damage(minor characters first. If both minor characters are tied, choose).


Boba/Greedo$
Desperate Shot/Sudden Arrival-both have top priority, especially Desperate Shot(HAN DIDN'T SHOOT FIRST....THIS TIME...).

Thermal Detonator- targets closest friend. Only used when Boba is at least one square away from target.

$Boba also has Wrist Cable

Palpatine
Force Lightning-see Throw Debris for damage, Insight for effect.

Future Forseen-use immediately. Attack cards first. You choose which order(please be as fair as possible).

Meditation-use when he has at least four wounds or friend has empty hand(whichever is first), or both.

R. Command-Choose farthest C. Guard with fewest wounds(choose if tie).
