Are there any plans for deluxe edition of game ? I have been looking at ways to pimp up friends copy (Stonemaier component upgrades kits come to mind) and would like to know before going any further.

Wait, the shaped wooden components are not good enough? In most Deluxe editions, the cardboard gets replaced by wood...

Having said that, I did replace my cardboard money for metal gaming coins.

My wife, the artist, took a silver pen and drew on the larger resource pieces and camels, so we could more easily tell the ones from the threes. She drew drawstrings on the pepper bags, ribbons on the silk bales, halters on the camels, and just a "3" on the ends of the large gold bars.

Metal coins would be nice, though! Next time we play I will borrow metal coins from Orleans Deluxe.

What else could be upgraded? I suppose we could have little wooden desks with an actual drawer to store completed contracts.
cool

Thats my only complain with the game/components, the 1 and 3 pieces look way too similiar

I Stonemaiered my copy, and bought a set of metal coins. The only thing I haven't been able to upgrade is the camels.
