There are 10 kinds of people who understand binary: Those who do, and those who don't.

This will probably be very challenging if you were born in the '80s or later.

(Without resorting to Google) Put the following 5 songs in chronological order, oldest to latest.
There is a year, more or less, between the release of each one of the songs, so five consecutive "years" of tunes are represented here:

a) Domino- Van Morrison
b) Knockin' on Heaven's Door- Bob Dylan
c) I'm Eighteen- Alice Cooper
d) Sweet Caroline- Neil Diamond
e) Rocket Man- Elton John

Bonus: What year was the oldest song on that list released (Sept. 19--)?

Answer:

Spoiler (click to reveal)
D, C, A, E, B

d) Sweet Caroline- Neil Diamond, Sept 1969 47 years ago!
c) I'm Eighteen- Alice Cooper, Nov 1970
a) Domino- Van Morrison, Jan 1971
e) Rocket Man- Elton John, July 1972
b) Knockin' on Heaven's Door- Bob Dylan, Jul 1973

Add your own musical quiz, in a similar vein, for whatever years and/or genres that you want to.

Wendell - it's crazy, you and I got exactly the same list.

Clearly, we are right, and everybody else is wrong.

Well, well. Wrong in every way. I think you meant folks born after 1970 would be in trouble.

On April 4th, 1964 The Beatles occupied the top 5 spots on the Billboard Hot 100. In what order did the songs appear, 1 through 5, on the chart? For bonus points, who is the only other musical artist to have at least 3 songs in the top 5?

A - "Can't Buy Me Love"
B - "Twist and Shout"
C - "She Loves You"
D - "I Want to Hold Your Hand"
E - "Please Please Me"
