Looking for party games that are accessible and can handle 8 or more players. By accessible I mean easy to understand rules that you could teach to your average person off the street and have them understand without eyes glossing over.

I'm willing to consider games that can handle only up to 5 or 6 if they are particularly fun.

Games I already own or am aware of:

Telestrations (probably my favorite)
Wits & Wagers
Code Names
Werewolf and its iterations (which I view as so-so)
Resistance and iterations
Coup
Bang: the Dice Game
Cash & Guns
Scattegories/Tabboo/Apples to Apples/Other 'classics'
Cards Against Humanity (not a big fan of... would like more game than this provides)

And I'm sure more, but those are the ones that jump out as probably being typical suggestions.

The Resistance is great. It is also a good ice breaker if you play with new people.

Dead Last is a game I am considering to purchase.
Deception: Murder in Hong Kong is a game I have played and know to be awesome (esp at higher player counts)
Shadow Hunters is also a superb game that can play 8

All have a weight of less than 2 so they're all easy to teach

We managed to teach parents and spouses Tsuro after Christmas dinner last year, and everyone understood it almost immediately.

MaybeAnomia: Party Edition. Although the box states it's for up to 6 I've played it with 9. It gets more chaotic the more people you have but that just makes it more fun in my opinion. More than 10 people may be pushing it though.

Time's Up / Time's Up: Title Recall / Celebrities is the game I like best with larger groups. You can play Celebrities with just pens, small bits of paper, and a bowl, which is how we usually do it.

We've played Incan Gold, which supports up to 8 players as well as The Resistance. 7 Wonders supports up to 7 players but is probably out of the "party game" category.

A Fake Artist Goes to New York

I have played this with casual players and it's been a hit each time.

Fairly easy to explain but they don't fully get it until a few plays.
Usually they draw a little too much and don't get that they want to hide the answer from the fake artist.
but after that, they get it and it's a blast

Spyfall and Skull both play 8; no more though ...

Spyfall 2 apparently plays up to 12, but a.) I've not played it, b.) I don't think it's out yet and c.) 12 might actually be too many for the game type, even if technically supported ...

Thanks for all of the suggestions so far. A Fake Artist Goes to New York looks really fun! I might have to pick that one up next.
