If you like Caverna, Agricola may also be of interest for you.
Also: Istanbul which meanwhile has two expansion (2-5 players)
Very unusual for a Euro game, The Voyages of Marco Polo has quite different starting conditions for the players. (2-4 players)
Fresco: Big Box is another great worker placement game. (2-4 players).
Arkham Horror is a great game, but also a monster . It requires some time to study the rules an get used to the flow of the game. It is also rather time consuming (and needs a very large table), plus you probably will end up buying more expansions.
That being said, if you are up for it, it is a lot of fun and each game will be different.
There are some great Euro games that will play well 1 player as well as 4-5 players. I play a lot on my own as well as once a week with a group.
The 3 best Euros in my collection are:
The Castles of Burgundy
If you are looking for sci-fi,
Space Cadets: Away Missions is great and can also be played solo controlling 2 or more characters
The Voyages of Marco Polo is good, as is Troyes.
My best euro's are:
Salt Lake City
Here are some of my favorite Euro games:
Troyes - Medium heavy; good at all play counts
The Voyages of Marco Polo - Medium; Good at all play counts
Grand Austria Hotel - Medium-heavy weight; not recommended with 4, there's too much downtime
TRADITIONAL WORKER PLACEMENT
Agricola - Medium heavy
Snowdonia - Medium
Stone Age - Medium light
Lords of Waterdeep - Light
Russian Railroads - Heavy
Goa - Medium; even though it has auctioning, it still plays great with 2
The Princes of Florence - Medium heavy
Trajan - Heavy
THE NEW and NEWISH
Rococo - Medium; very interesting game, feels unique
Orléans - Medium
Scythe - Heavy
Isle of Skye: From Chieftain to King - Light
Terra Mystica - Heavy; more enjoyable with 2 than most say
UNDER THE RADAR (a few I really like, that don't get a lot of attention)
The Golden Ages - Medium heavy; civ builder in 90 minutes
Tinners' Trail - Medium; doesn't work with 2 players
Concordia - Medium heavy; expansion makes the 2p version better
Glass Road - Heavy light; plays very quickly and it's a challenge every time
American Rails - Medium; my favorite stock game; you need 3+
Hope this helps. Good luck and have fun!
