I'm trying to learn more about German-style board games that include Germany as their primary setting or expressly Germanic themes. Can the community help me flesh out this list? I'd like to keep the list confined to games that have a 6.0 or higher overall rating on BGG. Ones I'm aware of currently are:

The Speicherstadt
Bremerhaven
Rheinländer
Waldschattenspiel
Glass Road
Haspelknecht
Kohle & Kolonie
Ruhrschifffahrt 1769-1890
Wir sind das Volk!

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm, I'm afraid there's been a mistake. The man who has been speaking to you is an impostor. He is not in fact the Bishop of East Anglia, but a man wanted by the police. I am the Bishop of East Anglia and anyone who doesn't believe me can look me up

As Eurogames were all called German games 20 years ago I'm not sure of your definition, but

Friedrich
And Thurn and Taxis

If you only want games in German, both have their original German rules.

Coal Baron and Fields of Arle come to mind, but there is also a category for this:

This is perfect (aside from several games that appear to be missing from the list and weeding through 20 versions of Monopoly). It's a good start, though. Thanks!

Die Macher. Funny how things change. This used to be one of the prevalent games back in the day on BGG. Now I can't remember the last time I heard someone mention it, even though it still has a strong ranking.

If you find games are missing from the list, the community as a whole would benefit from your submitting corrections for them.

Yes, Die Macher is the obvious one. It was one of the first German games to make a splash with the anglo boardgaming crowd, and it's set in modern Germany. It was the first, and the quintessential, gamer's game.
