According to the bonus expansion rules in the Kickstarter edition, when playing with a second Cthulhu at 9-10 players, if you assemble the decks in the prescribed fashion, you end up with 46 or 51 cards total.

Is that extra card intentional, and if so how is it supposed to be handled? Does one player get dealt an extra? Do you start each round with one card already in the reshuffle pile? Do you set 1 card aside and reveal it at the end of the 4th round? Something else?

With the absence of any explanation I would think this is a mistake and I'd play with one less Futile Investigation.

I've handled it the same way in terms of removing an extra futile investigation card. I wonder if the count was just a mistake in printing.
