Hi all! My wife and I are here for a long weekend vacation and are leaving Tuesday. Any good game stores you'd know of to visit? Thanks

The only one I remember was near Merchant's Square. I don't recall the name. It was on the first floor of a 2-story 'micro-mall'.

I don't think there are any. The Merchant Square is a tourist toy shop, the only thing you will find there are toy soldiers.

The peninsula is pretty lame, down the road to Newport News, Hampton there are 5-6 shops, all comic books except 2 which are sports card shops. All MSRP, no bargain, or discounts and with exception of one outlier all into that magic cash cow junk, the outlier big War Hammer shop. None have a true interest in board games, board games are just a means to an end of keeping the comic book/sports card shop open. Buy the game, get out. These are not places to go out of your way for. Those wax poetic shops that you hear so much about are in reality few and far apart in reality.

If you are coming from Richmond down the peninsula try "One Eyed Jacques", Richmond, Va. you might want to check their hours. They have a warehouse that keeps banker hours. This is the place you seek. They usually have a lot of bargain scratch and dents on eBay, too.

Edit..here you go..

You could try Jersey Gaming, Cards & Comics. Its in Yorktown, off of Rte 17. I've never actually been inside, just drove past a bunch of times on the way to the Outer Banks.. It gets great reviews on Google Reviews.

Wheni was in Virginia Beach, I went to Atlantis Games and Comics in both Norfolk and Portsmouth. They weren't the largest games stores I've ever been to, but it definitely wasn't the worst.
Medium sized selection, prices aren't bad for a FLGS (no FLGS is going to have CSI level prices)...

they had 2 games in stock I wanted to buy, so I bought them.
