So, I love all of these cards, but I'm interested to hear how others plan to use them together and would love some insight from the developers or testers if they've seen these combos before.

Coprophagia + Cooperation: If a species has both of these traits, does a second species to the right of the first get to eat from the food bag as well?

Coprophagia + Fat Tissue: If a species has both of these traits, can it build up fat tissue using food from the food bag?

Coprophagia + Foraging: If a species has both of these traits, would it make two food from the food bag each feeding round?

Wait... there's a coprophagia card (presumably in climate) that lets you eat out of other people's bags?
That's awesome, and kinda mean. Looking more and more like a meteor doesn't totally end the game. Just gonna result in smallish populations. And/or certain traits being critical to continued survival.

Very interesting.

The OP meant "food bank" not "food bag".
That would make a terrifying parasite!
But this a family game.

When this species successfully attacks another species, 1 Food is taken from that player's food bag (if possible) rather than the Food Bank. Not sure what the name of the trait would be, as "Parasite" doesn't really seem appropriate (but could be used, I suppose...)

The Meteor does not end the game in the slightest. It just changes the parameters of the game in a somewhat cataclysmic fashion! There are quite a few cards which allow you to sustain life without access to the Watering Hole:

1) Carnivore
2) Long Neck
3) Intelligence
4) Scavenger
5) Hibernation (new from Climate)
6) Migratory (new from Climate)

Coprophagia is just a promo card. It is not in Climate (though it's probably good enough to make it into a boxed game one of these days). It only allows you to take Food from your own food bag, not from the bags of other players.

As an alternative to Coprophagia, maybe a Chambered Stomach trait could show up in the future? Something along the lines of "Leave X food on the species board each round" or reducing the food requirement for starvation might be interesting.

I was being glib with my original answer. You can see the the cards on an update on our Kickstarter campaign:

Ah. Taking from your own bag is likely far more balanced.

Also: parasitism: whenever the creature to the left of this one eats, you may instead place one food from that animal to this one, (any additional food that animal gathers from traits stay on that animal)

There's probably a more succinct way to say that.

You'd really almost want two cards to balance each other somewhat. It might also be neat to create a parasite token (like a red cube that you set on the species with the parasite).

The cards might read:

Parasite: Choose a species to attach to and put the parasite marker on their species. You must remain smaller in Body Size than that species. During each feeding turn, you may remove one food token from that species.

Social Grooming: This species can not have a parasite.

The Parasite card could use some rewording though.

So species next to the Coprophagiac, Cooperator take food from the food bag of the coperator, if available.

Lots to think about there both thematically and tactically.
