We have finnished 6 different games (using the card E) without even having to care about the star shield. (we usually don't get to G and when we get it doesn't matter)
What do you suggest
Use
Koram ?
The Call of Skralls ?
Or the drunken Troll ?

Firstly, congratulations on your skill.

I say pick any two and see how that affects it. Drunken troll looks like a lot of fun though.

Thanks. The team is doing a great work.
So We are to try the Drunken Troll as you sugested.
Maybe a harder setup will also do the work?

I think adjusting when the wolves enter the game could help as well.

If they come in late, they can be tough to deal with.

Other than that, lower starting strength, require fewer monsters to conquer the castle, start everyone with 1 less life/hp, or maybe cut one hour out of the day.

All sorts of little levers

We play it taking only 1 gift of the andori and not the flute.

Also I can recommend:

Start with 1 strength point instead of 2 (but take additional 2 strength for party).
Chose weak characters (Arbon/Talvora, Kheelan/Kheela) and don't use the Dwarf.
Change the rule: Witch don't give you free potion.
The Call of Skralls is the best of those 3 additions.

Are you sure you play correctly? It looks like you killed only 2-3 creatures per game.

Ok, I did some math and I think it's possible to win before G in 2-player game with Dwarf.
In 3-player game with Dwarf it's possible with big luck.
In 4-player game it's impossible.

Yeah, something sounds off but I could be wrong. Just some initial thoughts:

About how many monsters are on the board when you set up? There are a couple cards during set up that can seed the board with around 7-12 foes.

Are you completing the Prince's task as well as defeating the Threat?

For every kill you are advancing the Narrator?

Is your starting Strength correct?

What about wolves? Their taming hinges on your strength but if your strength is only one at taming that is all they add for the rest of the game. Pretty much have to find the witch and buy her brew.

I know for us, just moving around the board eats up our day but then again we mostly play with two.

Sorry for the late response. The only threat that has forced us further from G is the Siege tower.
Just some hints.
1. we tame the wolf with 3 or 4 strength points hero using a herb and or potion. It's better this way you get 9 to 12 strength points.
2.we use the torch of the Andori and always put the farmers in the castle
3.Yes we move the narator always but basically we don't kill that much and we very often allow monsters to enter the castle according to the shields always
4.We always use wizard warrior archer and Fehn...and the rune stones are always prime targets along with the farmers.

That's about it
first the task then the threat and always a safe castle
You got the wizard (give him the flute)with the warrior in your defence to gother farmers and runes
Fehn and the archer for the witch the task and the taming in area 6something

Just to let you Know it seems that we hadn't play very different sets of the story.
So we had difficult and long scenarios played the Last two times. We went way after G and the whole board was full of monsters and problems...it was fun!!!

So nevermind my saying. There are many and very difficult stories to be played

That's always cool!

But I defenetly recommend to use only 1 gift of Andori.

Try and play with randomly chosen characters. This makes you rethink the strategy every game and prevents the "best theoretical combo" which you plan you characters on. Spices things up!
