Do you pronounce Hylar V as:

Hylar "Vee"
or
Hylar "Five"

?

Thanks!

Five.

(There's a card in Rex that's the, if I recall, Hylar IV or some such; a lower Roman numeral, in any case.)

I usually pronounce it "Five", but catch myself calling it "Vee" sometimes.

My guess is that it is the fifth planet in that solar system, so it should be "Five"

"Hylar V" is a technology, and I'm guessing rather than 5th planet, it's referring to the 5th "generation" of the technology. This is partly based on the fact that from Rex, there is a card called "Hylar III Pulsar Cannon".

But in any case, I still think it's meant to be a "five"

It isn't a planet, it's a technology. I suspect it's short for Hylar Mark V. So, yes, "five" seems to be definitely it.

My group switches between Vee and Five, but I think Five is the one. I shall educate!

Yssaril -> Ee-sahr-ill

Creuss -> Cree-us

Hacan -> Huh-sahn

It's always interesting to see how different people pronounce the races

Oh, and I do actually call the L1Z1X "el-won-zee-won-ex"

REE-cha. When we got TI1 my then partner insisted that was how it's pronounced. It's a funny language, you know.

The ZX81s are clearly, well, the zed-ex-eighty-ones.

We're very politically correct in our group, so we call the pirates the Peopletak.

Also, the Yin Siblinghood...

There is at least one planet with an "IV" on it (Lirta IV). The Hylar III bit is from a different game (Rex), although it's the same universe (just in the past).

I know you are being tongue-in-cheek, but the Brotherhood actually is truly a Brotherhood - there literally are no female Yin (unless maybe as "converts" and not one of the clones, and of course the Yin egg itself).

Hacan

ha-KHAN (I didn't realize this was tricky, but I know a bit of arabic (US Army) so that made it easy.)

And of course L1z1x is pronounced with 'ones'.
