Hello everyone! I just completed my first 6-players game at GoT and I have a couple of doubts:

1) ships in port count for army limit? I mean, if I have 1 ship in a port of a region where I have also 2 horses, I have an army of 3, or an army of 2, and a single unit?

2) can an army of mine give support to a region reached just using ships as bridge?

3) Pieces are limited. Can I decide to downgrade a unit, or to remove someone from the board to have them available again? And, can I decide to reorganize my armies, exchanging position?

Thanks!

1. Ports count as a separate region for the purposes of armies and limits thereof.

2. No

3. No

Andy Burgess is right on all 3 counts.

FROM THE RULEBOOK:

1. Multiple Ship units occupying a Port are considered
an army and must be in compliance with supply limits.

2. While land areas connected by ship transport are
considered adjacent for purposes of marching and
retreating, they are not considered adjacent for any other
purpose (including supporting and raiding).

3. (There is no rule for this, because you can't do it.
Thematically, telling your troops to kill themselves wouldn't work.)

If you can figure out how to send them on a Suicide Mission --
because you know they will be casualties in Combat -- you could do that.

Hi Alessandro, there's an Italian translation of my beginner's reference:
Interactive Beginner's Reference (Italian)

Hope that helps you get started!

Here's a 1 page quick reminder... Ports are covered in here. There's probably some other mechanics you missed too so check it out.
