I'm happy to hear about the canyon tiles that are said to be coming on the back of the Blasted Waste tiles, but what do you think about perhaps the Derelict Ship having cave tiles on the reverse instead of mines? I would assume with the canyons, once in them you, stick drawing from a canyon map deck for a while. The same would have to hold true for caves as it would be odd to pass back and forth from mine to cave and back again.

IMO caves aren't different enough from mines to justify their own deck. A mine could easily lead into a cave and vice versa.

I wonder if Canyons have their own world card too?

I hadnt considered that, but if they do that means they'll probably have their own artifacts too.

Canyons do indeed have their own world card. I saw it briefly at PAX.

... which could just become something like an exit to the canyons from where you have to find back to the mines again or a specific otherworld to complete your objectives. Some interesting new possibilities here (apart from travelling to the mines through the canyons, which is an awesome addition).

As long as there's a World Card for it, you can get to it through a gate.

You can also go from canyons into mines, via some of the map tiles. I think there was a way to go from the mine to the canyon too (encounters perhaps?).

That's... actually super awesome. When is the derelict ship supposed to hit retail again?

I forgot to ask! I was too busy looking at all the new stuff - I spent the better part of an hour with Jason at PAX, going through the Derelict Ship, Blasted Wastes, Canyons, new enemies, and new heroes. I spent some time chatting with Scott too, going through a lot of the preview stuff.

It'll be the Blasted Wastes that has the canyon on the other side, not the Derelict Ship.

And there are supposed to be places where, in the canyons, you can enter the mines without a gate, or vice versa.

Are there fixed (or even approximate) dates when ANYTHING is supposed to hit retail?

Even better! As a long time Fallout fan, I was already looking forward to the wastes.
