Hey guys,

anybody have a good idea where i can upgrade my orc/troll/goblin meeples? I haven't found anything so far. I'm looking for some simple cute wooden meeples to still fit into the squares if possible...hopefully matching the style of the soldier meeples in the game.

thanks friends!

don't you draw the orc/trolls/goblins randomly from a bag? I've always assumed that's why they have to be cubes.

There are several threads om this topic already. Top tips are so far; War of the Rings minis and LotR Risk minis. No meeples has been mentioned as far as I know.

Hi,

You could try the following:

Orc:
https://www.meeplesource.com/proddetail.php?prod=Orc-
https://www.meeplesource.com/proddetail.php?prod=BarbarianTE...

Goblin:
https://www.meeplesource.com/proddetail.php?prod=MaleGoblinT...
https://www.meeplesource.com/proddetail.php?prod=AssassinTED...

Troll:
https://www.meeplesource.com/proddetail.php?prod=Construct-

Technically, As they are all meeples, you could even draw them from a (huge) bag. However, I would rather just buy a enough to populate the board.

You either ended up buying them all, or for some reason meeplesource dont have them anymore.

The real question is how many of each is needed, i know there is a heard about this, but no real answer.

The links are not working but the meeples are there for sell. Just search for orc, goblin and constructs on Tiny Epic Kingdoms/Defenders.

Anyway, I don't like them, they don't fit the theme..

Hi,

I fixed the links. Sorry about that.

I am also not 100% convinced. I do own War of the Ring (Second Edition), which is often used for proxies, but I would rather use small wooden goblins/orcs/trolls similarly to the units of the defender to have a matching aesthetic.

Actually war of the ring minis can be used for the defender too.

Anyway my recommendation is - keep the cubes, draw them randomly from the bag, then substitute the ones you've drawn with War of the ring minis.

I agree.
the best matching meeples I have seen are the ones made on this kickstarter:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/coe/fantasy-gaming-figu...
I didn't know about it at the time, but I will probably make a 3D print file that will resemble the units.

Has anyone been using minis in their games (once they draw units from the bag?
Can anyone say how many of each unit has ever made it to the board at the same time?
Like are 20 of each enough (30 for orcs)?

Risk Europe has some excellent seige engines and defender figures. Perfect sizes. I sprayed them the relevant colours. Got my copy second hand for 15 English pounds
