These seem like some really cool heroes. Not sure about the Aqualish Bodyguard though.

I mean, what impressed me the most about the previews was the amazing-looking map tiles.

One of my gripes with the game is that a lot of the terrain is just corridors, with the blue and red lines not really doing much. But those new tiles look so interesting to play on!

I'm now really excited for this.

Funny I thought the exact same thing!

New minis look sweet (Rancor especially)but what got me excited was the thought that has clearly been put into the new tiles.

Perhaps I've just missed something obvious, but I've only played the core and feel like I'm missing something:

How does an imperial player suffer strain on a deployment card given that they don't have endurance? The Gamorrean guard says you can suffer one strain to reroll, but I'm not understanding how that works?

Imperials who take strain, get damage instead unless they are playing skirmish in which they may choose to either take damage or discard command cards equal to the strain.

Nolan is correct. All non-hero figures have no Endurance (imperials and figures on rebel ally deployment cards), and they suffer strain as damage.

In skirmish no figure has Endurance, so for each strain to suffer you can discard one command card from the top of your deck instead of suffering damage.

Hum… I just looked at the third preview (heroes) and I have troubles understanding the "push into the Sarlacc pit" example
https://images-cdn.fantasyflightgames.com/filer_public/1e/ef...

So, the bodyguard moves and push. OK. However, "push" (RRG, p21) tells me to "move the figure the specified number of spaces", here 1. and "Move X space" (RRG, p19, under "Movement") tells me that MP cost is ignored but "all other effect of terrain apply". Impassable terrain (RRG p13) additionally precise that "Figures cannot be push through [impassable] edge".

So what…
I'm going to assume there is a special scenario rule that makes the Sarlacc pit "pushable into" (and, probably, also deadly). But without it, the example seem to be illegal (not a very good example to show, imho, if it requires more explanations that what they are showing…)

Yes, there is most probably a mission rule allowing a figure to enter an impassible space.

Maybe not that good example, but cool otherwise, and look how much talk it has created!

Doesn't blue mean difficult terrain, not impassable?

Yes, but note that the line around the Sarlaac pit has both a blue line and a red-dashed line. This makes it difficult terrain with an impassable boundary.

Looks to me like the blue lines don't continue into the sarlacc pit. Colored lines have to surround a space to change its attributes, not just border it. So the spaces around it are blue, but the sarlacc spaces are red.

You're right. I misread the tile. Note that the Sarlaac spaces are technically normal terrain. Impassable Terrain exists on edges, not on spaces. Only Blocking Spaces (solid red line) extends to the spaces within its area.

Yes.

The question wasn't about the difficult terrain that is bordering the Sarlacc pit, but pushing a figure through the impassable terrain edge into the Pit, which is not normally possible.
