Hey all,

Am I correct in assuming the monster controller (or myself in this case) would just choose a survivor if there are no Age tokens currently in play? I keep wanting to perform disdain, but I remember reading that zero is a valid number for "least."

Yes, that's how I read it too.

Following on from that question. If all survivors have zero tokens: would the selection have to be random?

In a case you have multiple eligible targets and there is not explicit statement that selection is random (ie. "Random survivor, facing"), the monster controller decides. This is also the case in which the MC is rewarded with +1 Insanity if he decides to target his own survivor(s).
Playing solo, you still decide who gets targeted, but you don't get +1 Insanity.
