We just have to figure out what battles in history featured units armed with bows and kitchen utensils...

And possibly M-16s, going by the writing. And is that a pencil on the left?

Don't be ridiculous - it's clearly a pencil, bow and fork.

I think I've played this game. It was years ago and I have no idea what it was. I played so many different games back then it was easy to lose track of. Now I'm happy if I get to play a game at all. Sorry this doesn't help, but I was surprised to see this because it really does look familiar.

It's, for sure, the counter of the "Arch and Arrow" locanda.

OK, here are a few ideas...

Probably from the late 1970s or early 1980s and produced by a "Third World" publisher... likely not SPI or Avalon Hill.

A peasant unit with the "m" possibly standing for militia.

A medieval or fantasy game.

My quick check of Yaquinto and GDW didn't spark any memories.

Nearly seven hours and counting. My faith in the BGG wargamers' ability to come up with answers has been shaken.

Oh, and I have no friggin' idea what the hell that's from, unless it's a game involving missile weapon (that's the 'm', probably, m16 for missile strength, not M-16 rifle) using accountants at dinner.

Wow, from 1993. Feels like 20 years too late based on what that counter looks like!

Heh, no. I had just popped in, saw this crappy-looking counter and assumed it was something from Iron Crown Ent.
