1) What is the initial Rebellion level set to at the start of the game? Does the game with 1 or zero Rebellion points?

2) How does the knight combat work? In Four Against the Darkness, the Vermins, Minions etc... do not roll attack dice, the dice you are rolling are your defense dice. Since they don't roll any dice, they don't get to take advantage of the exploding dice roll.

However in the Knight of Destiny it says...

Golden Armor
This suit of heavy armor can only
be pierced by magic weapons, or
attacks that cause 2 or more life
points of damage in one hit (which
can happen with exploding dice).

So how does the knight use exploding dice?

1) Rebellion starts at 0. This is an extrapolation on my part by reading through the walkthrough at the end of the module where the first mention of the Rebellion level is when it is increased to 1 by way of rolls on the Journey Table and then the Traitors Attack table.

2) The Golden Armor is worn by a boss. It is fitted armor so can't be worn by anyone else, including player characters, so it is never used in a Defense roll. The player character has to have a magical weapon equipped, or roll explosively to damage the boss.

Yes, the starting rebellion level is 0.

The golden armor cannot be worn by the player's character, it is only worn by a particular boss. So the logic issue of what happens if a player wears it does not occur.
