Does anyone have any insight on similarities and/or differences of Family Edition vs All Creatures Big and Small?

Thanks,
Dimitrios

The Family Edition is a light version of the full game: take the full game and remove the occupation/minor imporvement cards, vegetables, stone, and player boards and you have the Family Edition.

All Creatures is a two-player game where you look to develop a farm that is best at housing animals.

Both games share the animal husbandry mechanic and both games count your animals as points at the end of the game (points are awarded in different ways). From there the games take different paths; the Family Edition begins to explore the basic concepts found in the full game of Agricola while All Creatures is all about aggressive animal breeding devil

Hope this helps!!!!

Actually, I've found the Family Edition can also be about aggressive animal breeding (or grain sowing). In two recent games, I won convincingly by focusing on one or the other (or both) to the exclusion of just about everything else (including growing family members).
