I'll be posting brief spotlights about rules, tactics, play examples, etc and sharing them here too. Enjoy!
In MoonQuake Escape the world is about to end, but your Alien being Exposed is not the end of the world! What does it really mean when your Alien card is turned face-up?
1) If you're on the Launch Pad you can't Launch the Rocket (pg 10). OK, so this is sort of a bad thing.
2) No other player can Zappp your other Hidden cards until your Alien's Hidden again. Players can only use the Zappp action on a Defender with a Hidden Alien (pg 9). Of course, the Guard and Defense Gun don't care if your Alien's Hidden or not and will Zappp you regardless (pg 10, 14).
3) In your turn of the Action phase, you can take any actions as normal except the Zippp action (pg 9). You are stuck in place until you can Hide again...unless the pesky Tractor Beam grabs you!
4) In the next Escape phase, instead of moving closer to the Launch Pad you receive more cards and then can turn your Alien card face-down to Hide again (pg 8).
So, there you have it, all the perils of being found. And remember the old motto, "If you're going to get found, get found early!" because then you'll be hiding with many more cards.
