Excluding expansions, which designer(s) do you have in your collection (wait, that's sorta funny, isn't it? ) most?

I'm not tied to one or two designers that I like above all others, but when looking at my stats I was a bit surprised to see one more than any other - a full 10% of my 50 games (excludes expansions) are by one guy. Five others come in at 4% and all there rest are 2% with one game each.

Hmmmmm. What does that mean? I supposed it'd be different if I had 1000 games, but maybe not percentage.

To find your list of games by designer here on BGG: Find the STATS tab in your Profile area, then, in the upper right of that screen, look for a link "Games Owned By Designer".

I'm pretty loyal to designers. I've got chunks of Feld, Eklund, and especially Wallace. I think it's fun to see how great designers hew to and deviate from their central thematic and mechanical motifs.

EDIT: Didn't notice the instructions to our stats! Wow, I've got a lot of Corey Konieczka! (10)

Eric M. Lang - 5
Ignacy Trzewiczek - 6
Kevin Wilson - 5
Martin Wallace - 21
Mike Elliott - 6
Phil Eklund - 10
Uwe Rosenberg - 5

Wow, my collection is surprisingly diverse. Excluding expansions, the most I have from any one designer is a three-way tie between Ben Rosset, Antoine Bauza, and Bruno Cathala.

Thanks for the Stats link. I never would have figured this out otherwise.

Aside from Pete's favorite "uncredited", and ignoring expansions and remakes, the only designers that I own more than three games of are: 1) Steve Jackson 2) Chris Handy 3) Tom Wham

If you include expansions and remakes, that number of designers explodes.

I usually don't pay any mind to the designers, but after reading your post I was curious. So I looked up my 87 games and it turns out I only have a couple of designers of which I have multiple games.

Andrew Looney
Fluxx
Are you the Werewolf?
Are you the Traitor?
Seven Dragons

This one didn't surprise me, I have 5 variations of Fluxx including one I created myself. The others, which I don't know if will actually count as they are just variations of existing games, and lack of other doesn't surprise me.

Excluding some weirdness mostly related to expansions, mini-expansions and promos, it looks like this:

Reiner Knizia (12) It's hard not to have games by Knizia.
Stefan Feld (9) No surprise, my favorite designer.
Uwe Rosenberg (8) My second favorite designer.
Wolfgang Kramer (6) I'm actually surprised I don't have more by Kramer.
Vlaada Chvátil (4) Often hit or miss with me, but there are several I like.
Martin Wallace (4) A few great games.
Stefan Dorra (4) Mostly lighter games. A bit of a surprise.

Only putting designers from which I have multiple games (excluding expansions).

A lot of designers worked in pairs on many games so I had more than I thought. Also certain designers have almost the same game over and over, but they are different games so I counted them separate.

My Top 5 Owned Deisgners (it's actually 6 since there is a tie for 5th)
-8 Games by Antoine Bauza
Hanabi, Samurai Spirit, Ghost Stories, Terror in Meeple City,Tokaido, 7 Wonders, 7 Wonders Duel, Takenoko

-7 Games by Reiner Knizia

-7 Games by Bruno Cathala
Five Tribes, Jamaica, 7 Wonders Duel, Wicked Witches Way, Le Fantôme de l'Opéra, Longhorn, SOS Titanic

-7 Games by Alan R Moon (not including TTR Map Packs)
Ticket to Ride, Ticket to Ride: Europe, Ticket to Ride: Märklin, Ticket to Ride: Nordic Countries, Ticket to Ride: First Journey (U.S.), Incan Gold, Airlines Europe

-6 Games by Stefan Feld
Rialto, The Castles of Burgundy, Bora Bora, Trajan, In the Year of the Dragon, The Speicherstadt

-6 Games by Matt Leacock
Pandemic, Pandemic Legacy: Season 1, Pandemic: The Cure, Forbidden Island, Forbidden Desert, Roll Through the Ages: The Bronze Age

.............oh, I don`t bother anymore..............

As you can see, I am all over the map. The only times I own more than one game from the same designer, it`s mostly the expansions of the main game. Having 113 games in my collection, that`s a whole lot of different designers.

I have a very diverse game collection, which sadly still misses games by many of the classic designers (e.g. Rosenberg, Feld) -- I am definitely planning to remedy that some time.
While I have played lots of classic games since my childhood, many of the games I have recently acquired are by new designers, and I have bought games by many different people and publishers.

Exluding expansions (I don't want to count those, since I playAndroid: Netrunner and own a few other games with lots of expansions) the most dominant designer in my collection is Ryan Laukat: I own 5 of his games.
This comes as no surprise, since after getting back into board gaming with Legends of Andor, my next purchase was Eight-Minute Empire: Legends. I loved the art and the clever, quick design, so I bought City of Iron (1st edition), backed Above and Below and have since at least taken a look at every Red Raven games project.

Randall C. Reed: 1776, Starship Troopers, Richthofen's War, Panzer Leader (all 1972-1974 Avalon Hill games)

With extensions it's Catan's Klaus Teuber (big surprise, not)

I've actually not yet double dipped on any designers yet with a 25 base game collection.

I'm guessing Uwe Rosenberg will be the first for me if I decide to get Glass Road, Patchwork, or A Feast for Odin to complement Agricola.

At one point, I would have said Stephen Feld, but I'm hesitant towards Aquasphere or Trajan. Castles of Burgundy needs to see more play time first.

I really respect Vital Lacerda, but I'm currently looking for more variety than he offers. I own Kanban.

Lastly, I've been keen on many of Vlaada Chvátil's games but not yet pulled the trigger on any. The first of his would likely be Dungeon Petz for me, and I seem to go back and forth on Galaxy Trucker so maybe I need to find a way to play it first.
