More or less, yes they are the same. They are all owned by 1 company.
And no, I don't know why they need 3 Websites.
Thalia also has stores here in Germany, the rest I don't know

in UK, an item cannot be on sale unless it was at a higher price for at least 28 days prior to new lower sale price....and in some cases, a sale cannot last forever either...it may be for some reason like that.

Has anyone made a payment to thalia.de before?

Tried to buy a couple of items and they've emailed me a .pdf of my order and said to do a bank transfer for the items. Seems a bit of an odd way to do it.

Yeah, I've oredered from them a few times before, always using this method, no trouble at all.

Yeah, was bit perplexed with it as first....used Transferwise and few days later transaction was confirmed and shipping started.

It's quite a common way of payment online in Germany AFAIK. My wife's German and she says it's perfectly normal and Credit Cards are not as prevelant over there.

Your wife is totally right. Bank transfer is totally normal here and much more common then credit card payment. Most online shops also allow payment with Paypal, so you can pay with CC if you wish
