I seem to have lost the set of black plastic rivets that hold the movement dials together from two expansions I recently bought... So I was wondering if anyone has any idea where to get replacements? I contacted Fantasy Flight and explained that I probably lost them, but all I got back was a form reply directing my to the page for replacing missing or damages parts. Where you have to include a photo of what was damaged, or for things that were missing from the product. But I was the one who lost them, so I'd by lying if I claimed that they were missing from the package, which I'd prefer not to do just to get two plastic rivets, lol.

Thanks

Doesn't matter, they will send you new ones. They won't want to lose a customer for such a small thing.

And if you really want to stand on the principal and/or pay money, go buy a dial upgrade kit for the appropriate faction...

Yeah, Fantasy Flight have been great in replacing my lost components in the past. I lost a dial recently and I thought it would have changed now they're under Asmodee (they have more stringent return rules on the website) but I explained that it was my fault and they replaced with no qualms. FFGs customer service is second to none.

Thanks guys... I was looking at their new website for game parts under a company called Asmodee. They specifically state they they do not replace lost components or components worn due through normal use I'll try with them anyway, and see what they say.

Piggyback question:

Is there a name/classification for this particular "rivet" piece? Like, if I wanted to order some extras for a side project, what is this two-part setup called?

Thanks!

Similar to a chicago screw. Not sure they work perfectly for the needs, but those are the closest I've seen.

just contact them and explain what happened. I misplaced / didn't receive a rivet as well.

I also had a TIE fighter where the peg hole was slightly disfigured and wouldn't accept a peg unless I jammed it in there. I was worried I'd break it, making the ship unusable. I included pictures with my claim about a missing rivet and they sent me a replacement TIE fighter along with the rivet.

Eh, wouldn't be too sure on that.
Even big board games are stretched for labor. Replacing a rivet isn't at the top of their hitlist.

Based on numerous past experiences with FFG customer support, I wouldn't be too sure on not being too sure on that. If you ask for something that's missing or broken you generally have it within a week, especially if it's needed for play.

Related to this - did anybody else get 3 of the plastic rivets with their C-roc?
Also received extras in the OT core set.

I might be able to offer them up for people who need them at this point.

I lost TWO dials at a local store tourney. An A-wing and my new YT-2400.

I completed the Parts Request Form at Asmodee.com (http://parts.asmodeena.com/), explaining my stupidity and asking if I could purchase replacement dials from them.

A few days later (might have been 3 - it was surprisingly fast) I had two new dials delivered to my mailbox. Unfortunately, it was just the cardboard dials. The plastic rivets were missing.

I emailed them again - again offering to pay for the parts or reimburse for shipping, as I didn't want them to now pay shipping twice (they sent the parts in a small box) for a mistake I made.

No reply to my email, but two or three days later, two new rivets were in my mailbox.

Contact them.

Yep.

FFG has had excellent customer support for a long, long time. Sometimes they'll ask you for a photo of a damaged thing; every once in a while they'll turn you down. But in my experience you always get an explanation if they say no, can always appeal it (I once asked for a replacement mini because of a minor defect, got refused, and then they replaced the same ship when it accidentally broke the next week).

They've got people whose whole job is to take care of requests like this.
