I noticed there are no paint sets in the pledge manager to buy. I am wondering if they will release some like they did for ZBP.

Were the paint sets for ZBP already available in the PM or only afterwards?

The pant sets are not cmon products. So no paint sets in the PM.
You could contact The Army Painter support and ask if a paint set is planed.

You could also consider getting single paints, for example vallejo or citadel paints.

I don't know about ZBP, but for The Others a paint set was offered right around the time of shipping by The Army Painter. I'd expect to see the same thing happen with MD.

Are the army painter sets really even worth it? I have watched some painting tutorials and when they are done with the army painter stuff they generally don't look as good as when people mix and match colors or use citadel stuff.

There's no denying army painter is more convenient and cheaper though.

Citadel regularly declines in quality, and increases on price year after year.

There are several lines of miniature paint available:

Formula P3 (Privateer Press)
Reaper
Army Painter
Vallejo Game Colour
Vallejo Model Colour
Citadel/Games Workshop
Scale 75
Coat D'Arms

...and probably a few more I've forgotten. That said, it's much better to just build a set of paints yourself. Every time I buy one of these boxed pre-made sets, there's at least one colour in there I almost never use.

And it is kind of strange that CoolMiniorNot hasn't come out with their own paint line yet.

I think that has more to do with the painter than the paint.
