With respect to the FAQ for this card, I don't see the point of this card now.

If you encounter this card, you can display it next to a location, so let's use an already closed one and it no longer does anything going by the above FAQ??

Why would you put it at a closed location?

Rolling the d6 is optional. You never have to do it.

Basically, this is a temptation barrier. You can get something useful at the risk of a penalty.

If you're ahead on time, it might be worth putting this at a location with a nasty end-of-turn effect.... at least, until you discard 5 blessings from the blessings deck...

Ok, thank you both for the clarification.

Totally brain faded the Temptation trait and also never considered being able to move as a bonus in this case (compared to maybe getting a boon or similar) but the example provided makes sense. It just seemed too easy, compared to the many other nasty banes

An easy bane or two is probably really appreciated in Wrath. You'll be so happy it isn't Arboreal Blight or Demonic Horde.
