As it is a cooperative game each player can control more than one Runner. Keep your decks and boards separate and consider playing a turn order that moves back and forth between players and it is a very fun game.

Player 1, Runner 1
Player 2, Runner 1
Player 1, Runner 2
Player 2, Runner 2

I play with the drone rigger and the street samurai and it's a blast.

I play mostly with two and it's amazing. Don't forget the extra nuyen!

I think the extra money, the lower number of obstacles, and then respite before the crossfire cards, really balances it. I mostly play it with two.

You always need four identities, even if you are playing with two runners. So in two player, each player has two identities (a main one whose deck you use, and a secondary one). This is for determining who gets the first obstacle you reveal. You need each color represented between the four main colors (if you pick a dual deck, you pick one side to be the active color, and I don't think the secondary needs to be the other color). If you have a secondary identity (even though that doesn't change the deck), you get an extra money in the beginning.

In three player, one player gets a secondary role and extra starting income.

I really enjoy playing with my wife, just the two of us.

Since you indicate you have the drone rigger and social adept, then you're playing with High Calibre Ops.

Enjoy it.

It's good fun with 2 runners. I use the same roles. The only mission I find harder with 2 than 4 is Pandemic. The respawns really pile up on you in that third scene.
